Teaching and Administration

In his dotage Neil Brewer is only engaged in research, no longer teaching or involved in any administrative activities. Over the years he has taught courses at all undergraduate levels on topics as diverse as assessment, behaviour analysis, cognition, development, forensic psychology, learning, group processes, human factors, memory, organisational psychology, personnel selection, psychological aspects of disability, sport psychology, and vocational rehabilitation.

In the many years as Head and Dean of School at Flinders University, and at earlier places of employment, he also endured every conceivable committee at department, faculty and university level – many times over. He also was involved in many accreditation panels and external reviews of psychology schools around Australia. When asked if he was any better for these experiences, he struggled to answer with conviction.
